Annapolis Wedding - Marriott Waterfront - Kim and Mark

I love working in Annapolis!  For a change, I was photographing an early wedding.  I coudln't complain when I arrived at the Marriott Waterfront and got to take gorgeous photos on their dock with the breeze blowing off the bay.  I wish all my Saturday mornings could start off with the view that the Marriott Waterfront has to offer!  A shout out to Up Do's for I Do's for doing a fantastic job with the bridal party's hair and make -up!  Kim was so relaxed and excited at the same time.  When it came to the timing and details, she was laid back and she wasn't going to let anything bother her but you could see in her excited eyes that she could not wait to marry the love her life!  The ceremony took  place at St John the Evangelist in Severna Park.  I loved the lighting and space.  After the formal photos,  went right back to the Marriott Waterfront to take advantage of their views for some romatic couple shots and then it was time to party.  Courtney and her team at the Marriott does an outstanding job making sure all the details are there and the timing runs smooth.  Of course, I have to give props to Fiona from Fiona's cake.  Once again, YUMMY!  Congratulations to Kim and Mark and enjoy your lifetime together.

Annapolis Wedding - Laurel Grove Inn - Anne and Marcel

Anne had a specific vision in mind for her wedding photos and our style and personality was what she was looking for!  Anne and Marcel got married in Brazil in 2010 (she is German and he is Brazillian).  They wanted to have a stateside Annapolis Wedding reception because that is where they met and fell in love.   Jason, our associate, was able to caputre the Laurel Grove Inn reception on Saturday and then Mark and myself were able to finalzie Anne's vision on Monday by hittng Downtown Annapolis  and then boarding a sailboat to capture some amazing photos on the water.

Anne and Marcel were so much fun to work with.  We look forward to their next visit to Annapolis when Anne wants to get in her dress for a fourth time and do photos water skiing in the Chesapeake!

They reside in San Francisco (ironically where Mark and I met and fell in love) :)

Destination Wedding - Puerto Rico - Courtney & Eric

There is no better time to blog about a wedding in Puerto Rico then when we are smack dab in the middle of winter!  The chill in the air makes me reflect back to the wonderful wedding we captured in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.  Courtney met me at a wedding show and the connection was almost instant.  Our personalities clicked and as her destination wedding came to life,  so did the reality of Hamilton Photography becoming destination wedding photographers.    The wedding took place at The Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa.  The gorgeous beaches and vibrant palm trees made for fantastic backgrounds.  Courtney and Eric had the most romantic wedding setting possible.  They were such a sweet couple and you know they were well loved because many people came to celebrate with them (as far as California!).  There are millions of photos I want to post but I realize it would overload my blog so here are a few of my favorites and I might blog some more as we progress into the winter.  For now, enjoy these and just think "warm thoughts".

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Mandy & Ryan

Mandy and Ryan had a beautiful day on the bay , at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club ! I really got to know the couple when we did an engagement sitting in Old Town Alexandria. We got some real romantic photos on all the historic roads and cool alley ways. They had brought their dog for some photos, making the family photo complete. Mandy and Ryan are super laid back and fun and that transpired into their wedding. Thanks for having us be a part of your big day !

Eastern Shore Wedding - Matapeake State Park - Shaina & Jeff

Eastern Shore weddings are great.  There is so much natural beauty surrounding the special day.  I had never worked at Matapeake State Park before and I have to say I was impressed! Since i shot this wedding, I've taken two families there for portraits...there are so many different parts to the ground.  It is gorgeous.  It is smack dab in between the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and Silver Swan.  It is a more casual atmosphere but Shaina and Jeff created elegance with the space.   They were a great couple who truly enjoyed every every moment of their wedding day.  A big shout out to Joanna from Amie Decker Beauty, she did an amazing job with the make up.  Beat2Beat kept the dance floor going with some great music.  Congratulations to Shaina and Jeff! dsc_7062-1.jpg dsc_7695-7.jpg dsc_7119-3.jpg dsc_7877-11.jpg dsc_7804-9.jpg dsc_8012-15.jpg

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Merri & Ryan

Merri and Ryan got married!  They got married on the hottest day of the summer but that didn't stop them from enjoying the day!   It was one of our favorite weddings because it included so many of our favorite spots in and around Annapolis.   We started with pre-ceremony photos at the Loews Hotel and then headed to the ceremony at St. Mary's in historic downtown Annapolis.  Wow, do I love that church and it is not because I am parishioner there.  It is because it is such a gorgeous church with the star painted ceilings, elaborate alter and grand columns!  After the ceremony, Merri and Ryan wanted to have some fun in downtown Annapolis so we hit the dock and did some side streets as well.  After we all had enough heat, we got in our cool cars and headed over the bay bridge to another one of our favorite spots...The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.  As always, the CBBC staff rocked it out.  The room looked gorgeous and nothing missed a beat.  We were grateful for the beautiful sunset and made sure to capture a few romantic shots for Merri and Ryan to remember.  Beautiful couple and a beautiful day! dsc_2845-2.jpg dsc_2967-5.jpg dsc_6724-3.jpg dsc_3170-10.jpg dsc_3322-14.jpg dsc_3455-16.jpg dsc_7007-11.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Celebrations at the Bay - Katy & Matthew

Katy and Matthew's wedding was truly a Chesapeake Bay wedding with events on both sides of the bay. We started off at Katy's parents' home in Grasonville and got some stunning photos on the dock across from their house. As we were finishing the photography with the expansive bay as the background, a jet ski went by and he waved. It was one of the family friends zooming home to get dressed for the event. Then we were off to the other side of the bay for the ceremony, and the beautiful reception at Celebrations at the Bay. This facility has amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay and of course a great dock for more photography. The crew is so helpful and friendly everyone feels welcomed. Katy and Matthew enjoyed the evening with their friends and family and the reception went bumping into the night. dsc_4825-5.jpg dsc_0303-1.jpg dsc_5143-13.jpg dsc_5128-12.jpg dsc_5154-15.jpg dsc_0469-5.jpg dsc_5292-17.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Tilghman Island - Karla & Dave

From the minute I met Karla and Dave and found out they were beer aficionados like myself, I knew we were going to bond and get some great photos. And when I found out they were getting married at one of my favorite Eastern Shore locations, the Tilghman Island Inn, I knew the wedding was going to be picturesque and whole lot of fun! Yes, Tilghman Island Inn is waterfront with amazing views, but of all the great qualities of this facility, nothing compares to the fresh seafood and extensive wine list. A truly unique spot for two families to come together and enjoy a wedding. The ceremony took place on the water's edge and the weather was perfect. Love was in the air and micro brews were at the bar! oldpaper-2.jpg dsc_1648-7.jpg dsc_1602-3.jpg img_4856-1.jpg img_4912-2.jpg img_5149-5.jpg dsc_2078-15.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Silver Swan Bayside - Amy & Wayne

We had the privilege of photographing Amy and Wayne's wedding at the Silver Swan Bayside, and it was a gorgeous day on the bay. Amazing blues everywhere - from the water to the sky to the details inside the reception. The couple was really cool and had fun with the photography. With so many great spots to shoot at the Silver Swan, we got tons of bayside images. This is one of my favorite places to shoot, and the staff and food at the Silver Swan are both top notch! The two families of the couple enjoyed each other and the elegant evening that unfolded. Absolute Entertainment set the mood for the event and of course got the dance floor pumping into the night. dsc_9493-7.jpg dsc_9379-4.jpg dsc_9629-8.jpg dsc_9814-10.jpg dsc_9817-11.jpg dsc_9295-1.jpg dsc_0292-21.jpg

Annapolis Wedding - Naval Academy Chapel - Anne & Jamie

Could you ask for a better day?  A great couple paired with two of our favorite venues in Annapolis!  Anne and Jamie had a beautiful ceremony at the Naval Academy Chapel.  After the ceremony we headed to a few of the many gorgeous places for photos on the yard (Bancroft Hall, the foot bridge & the sea wall).  Honestly, there are so many amazing locations for photography on the yard.  We are glad that Anne and Jamie wanted to spend some time there.  It was worth it because we got some amazing photos!  The reception was held at one of our favorite Annapolis Hotels, the Loews.  Holly and her team did an amazing job with planning and running the event (as always!).  Cynthia from Flower Follies had beautiful accent pieces for the tables that created such elegance in the room.  We are glad Anne and Jamie chose us as their photographers, it was a great event with a great family!  We wish you the best as you start your new adventures as Mr. & Mrs. Powers. dsc_8524-1.jpg dsc_7600-12.jpg dsc_7706-18.jpg dsc_8942-5.jpg dsc_7475-8.jpg dsc_8169-24.jpg dsc_9110-8.jpg
