Baltimore Wedding Show- Tremont Grand

Amazing is one of the many words we heard coming from brides who entered the Doric room at the Tremont Grand on April 25.   All the credit goes to Drew Vanlandingham of the Vanlandingham Design Studio who turned the room into a breathtaking layout with amazing colors, fabrics, flowers and more.  Allison Barnhill Designs created beautiful and unique menu and place cards for the tables and chairs (as always, simply amazing!).  Jason Wallace, from Absolute Entertainment provided the ambiance with Latin & World lounge mixes.  Wessel's Florist designed gorgeous arrangements and Sascha's catering provided tasty appetizers and yummy sangria. Of course, Hamilton Photography was there and we were showing off some of our latest album designs as well as new artwork.  Overall, it was a great show and we were honored to work with such amazing talent. dsc_4962.jpg dsc_4967.jpg dsc_4982.jpg

We're Published!

Have you seen the latest What's Up? Weddings magazine? We're in it! We're part of the feature article profiling Chelsea Thomas and Brett Clarence, a couple whose wedding we photographed last year. Chelsea and Brett met in high school while Brett was a "dock boy" at the marina where Chelsea's family kept the boat. They reconnected during Chelsea's college years, and eventually tied the knot last June. After a ceremony in Christ Church Parish in Stevensville, the 200+ guests went to Silver Swan Bayside for a gorgeous reception overlooking the water. We LOVED all the photos from this particular wedding, and were particularly thrilled to find them in the spring/summer issue of What's Up? Weddings. Click here to read the full article and see more details from Chelsea and Brett's special day. coverweb.jpg realweddingsmagspreadweb.jpg

The winner will be announced on our facebook page and blog on Saturday so check back soon! We also had the special privilege of photographing the fashion show portion of the bridal show. A special thanks to Amanda Ritchey for providing the beautiful and unique gowns from her shop. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation presents "An Evening on the Severn"

We teamed up again with Ann and the great people down at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to be a part of the recent charity event "An Evening on the Severn." A great cause brings out great people, so many of CFF's biggest local contributors came out for a nice night of food, fun and music. A live and silent auction raised capital for the fight against cystic fibrosis. If you would like to help in any way, contact the foundation. cff1.jpg cff2.jpg

Making Strides with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The first Saturday of every June, Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium hosts the annual Great Strides event. As the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fund-raising event, Great Strides brings in donations to the organization and more awareness to the community. It was great to participate in the big day and thanks so much to Bob Saunders at Recognition Concepts for helping out the CF cause and inviting me to take part something much bigger than myself! dsc_1805.jpg dsc_1749.jpg

WeddingWire's Bride's Choice Award 2009

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Hamilton Photography has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™! In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Hamilton Photography is one of the very best photographers in your area. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews. “We are excited to launch this annual award program to honor high-performing vendors based solely on the experiences of our WeddingWire community,” according to Timothy Chi, WeddingWire’s Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.” Hamilton Photography would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award! 2009 Bride's Choice Awards presented by WeddingWire | Wedding Cakes, Wedding Venues, Wedding Photographers & More

Green Limousines

With the wedding season at a stand still and not having any fun, exciting weddings to talk about, I thought it would be a good time to talk about the great vendors I get to work with through out the year. One of the larger limousine companies in the Balitmore/DC/Annapolis area is American Limousines.  Not only do they have an updated fleet of luxury vehicles and a friendly, easy going staff, they are making a difference with the planet.  Working together with Trees of the Future, American Limousines is planting a tree for every reservation made.  By reducing their carbon footprint on a monthly basis, Josh Allen and his company are helping our planet and doing the little extra that will obviously go a long way.  If you are someone who thinks a limo is just a limo, than American Limousines' actions should be a deciding factor when choosing your transportation needs.
